Good morning!

This morning on my way to work, I got behind somebody who was dithering about......in the passing lane. She was busy blathering on her cell phone and wasn't paying attention to anything going on around her. After following for awhile, I pulled over into the right lane to pass her and she sped up. Well, I just sped up and passed her anyway. Last I heard, passing lanes were.....for passing!
If you're going to be in that lane, pass for crying out loud! And STAY OFF YOUR CELL PHONE WHILE YOU'RE DRIVING! That's my pet peeve for the day. And I guess that's actually two pet peeves.

My question for you is: What is your pet peeve this morning??

Its too early for any peeves yet, but that is in my top ten!!
I don't care how fast you are going, if you are blocking traffic in the fast/passing lane, you need to GET OUT OF THE WAY.

Unfortunately.. Speeding around them is illegal, so you have to use discretion...

People who butt ahead in lines. Younger Germans know how to stand in line, but the older generation seems clueless.

People who go slow in the left lane then speed up when you try and pass them is one of my biggest pet peeves for sure.

This morning, I haven't had one yet!

Actually!!! :D  I do not have a pet peeve for this morning!!! But I certainly DO have pet peeves. And one of them people who don't cover their mouth when they cough. Last night we went to the town hall quarterly crime meeting. There was a man sitting behind us coughing and another lady sitting a few seats down coughing and hacking with her mouth wide open. Both Larry and I already have colds we are suffering with and would not have gone to the meeting if we were still coughing like that. Come on people!!! STAY HOME if you are that sick. So, I guess I do have a pet peeve this morning but one that happened last night. ;)

p.s. I can't stand it when I see people on their cell phones driving. I certainly hope and wish for cell phone usage to be banned while driving everywhere in this country like it is in Chicago. :cross: So dangerous to be on the road with people like that.

Two things:

I was at Trader Joes with only two items for breakfast. Two lines open, both has people with shopping carts full of items. As the cashier scanned the items, neither customer bothered to bag their cart full of items. They watched the cashiers ring up the items, then watched them bag the items. Hello.. BAG YOUR OWN ITEMS!!! It's common courteousy, for both the cashier and people waiting on line behind them! The check out time would've gone by so much quicker too!

the other:

My coworker who sits next to me in a cube constantly COMPLAINS about her work, what she does and how people respond to her about her work. It's never anything good.. if she hates her job, quit, or silence!

her negativity really puts a damper on my mood, and forces me to put on my headphones, which I hate to do.

In addition, she makes childish noise while working. Drives me bonkers, and another reason why people find me anti-social with headphones on!

Well, technically speaking, it's also illegal to speed past them in the left lane, too.

So talking on your cell phone while driving never happens any more in Chicago?

In paradise, under a cat pile
I have a few pet peeves.

People who drive as they talk on the phone.

People who think just because they are cats, they are expendable. Or less than a dog. They hate them for their name sake without knowing any cat. and incapable of reaching from within themselves to even see a cat for who they are..

My pet peeve this morning was a woman buying lottery tickets at the gas station. She had at least 20 different slips she was trying to play. She examined the numbers on EVERY separate ticket and a couple of times rejected the ticket saying it wasn't the number she wanted to play. Of course then discussion with the counter person ensued which took up even more time.

I bet it was during rush hour when people were trying to get just one or two things on their way to work.  It's often an elderly person and I try really hard not to get upset, we will all be old one day many would say that I am old now but it is hard.
