I was thinking about a recent QotD where it asked what's your oldest family heirloom is..

My question is.. What's the most sentimental value item you have in your home? Not money value, but sentimental?

I have this elephant sculpture that my grandmother painted herself.. tusks broke off, but I still love it. It reminds me of her, and her old home where I used to see it sitting on a mirrored hutch.

Grandma's braided rugs. So much time and effort put into those rugs and by now they are decades and decades old. I don't put them on the floor anymore; I have one draped over an old rocking chair (more about that rocking chair later) and one is draped over a rocking chair in the living room.

Also, Grandma's old rocking chair. That was the rocking chair that I would rock myself to sleep in at night when I stayed with Grandma when I was a little girl. I'd fall asleep watching tv and she'd pick me up and carry me to bed. Every night. I love that old chair. When she left her home and moved into the trailer, she made sure I got the chair, simply because it was mine to have. It's back in the computer room. It needs to be re-caned now; nobody can sit in it anymore.

There's not just one item, but several small things my late brother gave me as gifts or that I took from his apartment after he died.
