Has anyone seen good results with subq's for cystitis? Miss went in for some today-I am frustrated with seeing no improvement as we are going on 2 weeks with this. Her urine is very concentrated so I took the doc's advice to try and flush the bladder.

I am hoping between this and the buprenex I can break this cycle.

I have never heard of sub-q's being mentioned along with cystitis, but since taking in as much fluids as possible is always recommended, I don't know why it wouldn't help.

Is she under some unusual stress.  This is (from what I understand) what usually brings it on, so if you can eliminate that stressor, that should help.  Also, are you feeding her canned food only.  Do you add extra water to it?  ARe you avoiding seafood?  All these are things that also help.

Hope the sub-q's kick in

Yep, I did this with Big Guy during his round of urinary trouble and it did seem to help him.

Missy hates wet. She will lick juice, so I am making soupy food a few times a day in the hopes she tries it (she does sometimes)and have a fountain going and try and give her water bowl in front of her as much as possible.
My feliway plugin started smoking today-I am very disappointed. Not sure what to do refarding that
