:wavey: HELLO!!!! My life is finally starting to slow down after our move. THANK YOU, Abbysmom, for doing Tuesday's question of the day for all of these past weeks. :hugs:

The people who previous lived in our new home pre-paid for the morning local newspaper to be delivered. We have not had a paper delivered to any home we have lived in for many years. We always turned them away. Seems the internet takes the place of newspapers and everyone can just look up local news that way now. I have to say, we have been SOOOOO enjoying reading the paper each morning. It is so nice to see Larry sitting on the couch, reading the paper and watching the wild birds visiting the feeders outside the windows. I have also found that it is very relaxing to sit and read the paper. It has been ineresting to get up-to-date local news in our new town. I wonder how many people still enjoy an "old fashioned" :lol3: newspaper.

I have never been a fan of reading newspapers.  Even before I had a computer.  I just watch the evening news to get all the information I want.  When I was a kid my parents always got the daily newspaper but I never was interested in it. I now of course have the internet also.

I don't but my Grandparents still do and I will page through it a bit when we visit them.  I typically pick up the Sunday paper at a gas station or convenience store for the coupons.

No, even though I was born and bred in our home behind our newsagency, so it should be in my blood.

I'm an online news girl these days...

Hello!!
Been scarce for a while.... but I'm checking in. I get up at the very last minute in order to get dressed, washed, etc. before leaving for work. NOT a morning person.
So if I got a daily paper, I'd have to read it at lunch or in the evening. We do get the Sunday paper, though, and once football season is done in 2 weeks I will be reading that again on Sundays. During football season I pretty much ignore it, or quickly flip through the coupons and flyers.

Yes, we still get the daily newspaper.  It's one thing DH will not go without.  He reads it from cover to cover every day, and even though he could get the same info via the internet, he say's it just wouldn't be the same.  Say's there's just something about feeling the paper.
I skim thru it, but dont' have the time to read it the way he does

We still get the newspaper. Rick may not get time to read it straight through, but I always read it. I read The Huffington Post and The Daily Beast online every morning and, sometimes, Politico, and we always catch both the local news and the national news at night, but I do enjoy the newspaper. We have found, too, that the coupons I get in the paper pretty much pay for the annual bill.

We won't give up the newspaper any time soon.

We get the local paper delivered to our door every morning (though I usually don't read it till the evening most weekdays) and a national Sunday newspaper. I skim through a national business newspaper at work before classes start, and check out a number of online news sites throughout the day.

I used to get the paper.. but lately they've turned to trash and is unenjoyable. I am SO sick of hearing about Lindsy Lohan and her drunk antics! They are often a few days late, as opposed to getting instant news online.

They've also become poorly written that it sickens me!

We get the paper on the weekends - Fri., Sat & Sun. Of course we always watch the evening news and the morning news on the Today Show. But we still enjoy getting at least the weekend paper,

I've never gotten the paper delivered. I used to read the news on the website instead every morning but now they charge a subscription for that. So I find the local TV news channels and check them out from time to time.

We are usually reading the paper in the evening too! This is a new thing for us and we are really enjoying the time we spend together reading and chatting about the news. New house with new rituals to go along with it.:clap::clap: Also LOVE the Sunday paper too and all of the coupons. Our sellers did us a great favor by buying us a year's subscription to the local paper, The Times. :D

I don't take the paper, although I will occasionally pick one up if I'm in the store and in the mood to read the newspaper. I have a lot of issues with my normal mail being stolen on a regular basis, no way I want to add anything to that list.

No newspaper.  The local is so liberal slanted they are struggling to stay alive in our conservative area.
