Greetings. Quincy (white) and Percy (gray Mctabby & white) are devon rex kitties. I am new to the site and am very happy to be able to learn sooooo much from your members. I have been looking in on a regular basis as my little Percy (6 months) has chronic eye herpes. I have been thinking of changing his name to Squinty (only kidding). However it is a challenge to keep my boy bright eyed. I am working through many of the recommendations from this site and with my vet to help the little one. He has already infected Quincy (one year) but he has only had one flare-up and now seems able to fight off the virus. Oh, I could ramble on about antibiotics, vaccine in the eyes and up the nose, lysine .......... Next on the list is an antiviral to give at first squint. Sorry to make this so long. I am grateful for the information provided from people dealing with herpes flare-ups. I have owned cats for 35 years and really, this is the first virus I have had to deal with. I realize just how lucky I have been in the past.
