Hi, I'm not trying to advertise this product or anything, I have not used it, I'm just asking if there's anyone who has tried it. There's a natural dewormer called FourGuard Parasite Formula for cats. It contains neem, gentian root, papaya and clove. I have not been able to find any reviews of the product.I just want to know if I should spend my money on this or a vet visit. I would rather use a natural cure if it's safe and effective, but I want to know if anyone else has tried it and if it works. Thanks in advance!

I have not tried it but I would probably opt for a vet visit over a product that may or may not work. At least with the vet you know they are getting the proper dewormer at the right dosage. If your still unsure call your vet's office and ask what they think about the product and if it's safe to use. If in doubt, err on the side of caution!

Clove doesn't sound a good ingredient for cats to me.  They are very sensitive in a bad way to a lot of essential oils and according to Messybeast clove is one of them:
Essential oils which contain phenols are particularly toxic to cats and cause liver damage. These include Oregano, Thyme, Eucalyptus, Clove, Cinnamon, Bay Leaf, Parsley and Savory

Essential oils which contain ketones cause neurological symptoms. These include: Cedar Leaf*, Sage*, Hyssop*, Cyprus*, Lavender, Eucalyptus, Mint ,Caraway*, Citronella ,Clove*, Ginger*, Chamomile, Thyme and Rosemary (those marked * give particular cause for concern).

If you are in the UK or the US then Drontal is safe and effective and available on the Internet, and in the UK the vet can prescribe Milbemax which is also safe and effective and easier to give as it's smaller.  There are also safe and effective spot-ons.  Avoid Bob Martins, Hartz and so on.

Thanks for the feedback. I'm just going to take him to the vet this time, I want to get this dealt with as soon as possible. I still would like to know if there's anybody out there who's tried the FourGuard and what their experience was.

If he has worms, he may have fleas as well - fleas are part of the lifecycle for one type of worm.  If he goes out and especially if he hunts, he needs regular worming.  Every 3 months according to my vets.

He stays indoors, but was a stray when I took him in. I have had him dewormed twice already but he's young and may need another dose. I brought him to a vet today, should have the results of the stool sample tomorrow.

I did deflea him once and comb the cats for fleas, but it's possible there could be more, I know I need to stay ontop of the flea situation.
