I have been married for almost 14 years. My husband and I have four cats and two dogs. They are our only children.
Our oldest cat is Paris he is a loving black and white "tuxedo" type cat who will be 16 years old this spring. He loves to be petted on and will wash your hand or arm back in a loving gesture.
Next we have Jenny she is a sweet but independent grey and white poly-dactyl cat she will be 2 years old this summer. She insists on serving herself with her paws which has noticeable thumbs straight from the dry cat food bag despite having a full large bowl nearby, it is very cute to watch.
Zoey is our tortoiseshell cat she is our crazy but loving unpredictable cat she is 10 months old she loves my husband and follows him around. You never know what kind of mood Zoey is in, she can show some attitude at times.
Then we have our little former feral kitten Kayley she is a calico I adopted her back in November of 2012 she is around 7 months old. She is our newest baby and likes to be held like a baby. She does have a mischievous side to her and loves to play with Jenny and Zoey. She will allow Paris to wash her once in a while. Interesting thing about Kayley is she looks nearly identical to my sweet cat Sony who we had to put down due to illness in early November. I even see a few similarities in behavior at times too. I am still not too sure of her name Kayley and have thought about changing it but haven't figured out another name yet. She doesn't seem to know her name yet like the others do.
We're also "owned" by two dogs. A beagle mixed with blue-tick coon hound cross named Elly May she will be 3 years old this summer and Lilo who is a black and white with a touch of brown cocker spaniel and poodle mix she just turned 2 this past fall. They are both loving dogs. Elly is more our alarm dog she lets us know if something is going on outside and she loves the dog park to run with other dogs. Lilo is extra loving and loves people and cats. She is OK with other dogs but is a bit more cautious around them.
I found this forum when I was trying to find an old friend I met at another pet forum. His handle was "davet" and he is a retired veterinarian from the Philadelphia area. I am not sure if he posts here or if he is still with us. I did find at least one item here with his name on it. It would be great to reconnect with him.
