I have posted here about the two feral kitties I take care of - well not sure what to think my black cat hasn't been around for three days. I am really worried she has never been gone this long. Sad and worried.

You can go around the streets and car ways around.

You CAN write up her on message boards around too. But with a semiferale it wouldnt help much.

Otherwise it is just to held your thumbs and hope for the best.

Good luck!

as StefanZ already pointed out, there is not a whole lot you can do.

a little over a year ago i had one of my ferals go missing for eight days. i went out to where i thought he had gone with a bag of treats and a trap. i was walking along calling out his name and shaking the bag of treats but no luck. i had basically given up hope at that point but then, like nothing had happened he showed up. he was covered in ticks and had tons of small scratches on him - not fighting ones, little nicks like he had gone through tons of pricker bushes.

i get so stressed if i don't see one of my crew first thing in the morning for breakfast. now what i have started to do is to feed them smaller amounts of food each meal, and give them more meals in hopes that they will not travel far so as to not miss their next feeding. i also have started to give them grilled meat (usually turkey or chicken but once in a while some salmon) as a treat after they eat. i figure that they sure wouldn't want to miss out on their treat so they won't be as likely to go very far.

i hope she comes home soon:vibes:

Have they been neutered? If not, then the cat will roam and be gone looking to breed. It is very common for our feral cats to disappear from time to time, even after TNRing. Try not to worry. I have had feral cats go missing for month's before - EIGHT, only to return looking no worse for wear. :vibes::vibes::vibes::vibes: for your black feral.

She is fixed and for the past 6 months or so has stayed really close to home. I put up a poster at the post office in town. I just fear the worst, and now we are having really cold weather. Every time I see her empty shelter I get more worried.

i don't know how the animal control is in your area but when the one i mention above went missing i talked to the animal control officers for my town and the next town over - my colony is only a couple hundred meters from the town line. i just let them know that one of mine may have gotten lost and if they received any calls about a cat wandering a neighborhood or a new arrival at a different colony to let me know since it might be one of mine.

I, too, take care of a feral. He shows up twice a day like clockwork for his meals. I've had him for 6 years now. He disappears for days, sometimes a week at a time, every few months. Just when I'm ready to mourn him, he shows up, usually beat up. I'm sure he was out with a lady.I'm praying that yours will show back too, but please do as I do and walk around to make sure she isn't locked up in someones' shed or garage.
