Morning! TGIF.....it's been a long week and I'm ready for two days away from work. My co-worker just got the sixth season of Dexter and Rick and I are looking forward to flopping down in bed and devouring the season (our DVD player is in the bedroom). We are both big Dexter fans.

Today's question: What is your favorite television series of all time?

This is a tough one but I came up with the answer pretty quickly:  DALLAS is my all time favorite. I am so happy TNT brought it back last year and I watched every episode.  I guess many other fans watched cuz it will be back for it's second season this month.

I will miss JR Ewing tho, I was saddened by Larry Hagman's death.

Another all time favorite of mine is THE FUGITIVE starring David Janssen.  They tried making a new series but it didn't last but the movie was pretty good starring Harrison Ford.

Hmm... I am very fickle with TV.  I guess I would have to say my favourite show right now would be Archer.  Some runners-up would include Sea Lab 2021, Fringe, True Blood, Aqua Teen Hunger Force, Angel, Survivorman, and Myth Busters.

Buffy the Vampire Slayer - what a great show. The writing is top-notch, scary story but with tons of humor, likeable characters, plot twists, what's not to like? The Simpsons would be a close second because I've never seen a bad episode and it's been on forever.

I also really love Modern Family, Community, The Big Bang Theory, Dr. Who, The Twilight Zone...

NCIS

I've also been going through the season DVDs of the Star Trek series. I'm done with Voyager and TNG, haven't started on DS9 or Enterprise yet. I don't think I'll do the Original series because old TV shows annoy me (cheesy acting!) and I've never really liked it. But I might have to in order to keep up Trekkie appearances :tongue2:.

While waiting for the DS9 DVDs to arrive I started in on the Northern Exposure season DVDs, and that show is great! Quirky. I remember liking it when it was on TV but I was so young I couldn't fully appreciate it. NCIS is still my absolute favorite, though.

My mom seems to have some kind of compulsion to buy season DVDs, LOL. So I probably can borrow enough to last for years. Maybe House or Monk next.

Anyone ever heard of Corner Gas? So funny! That was the DVD set I went through after I was done with NCIS.

Of course I've heard of Corner Gas - was filmed not very far from where I live and was almost filmed here. My fave character was Davis - Lorne Cardinal is a very funny man and an underrated actor. For the longest time, I listed my location as East of Dog River but when the Dep't of Holidays......er Highways pulled down the sign for Dog River and replaced it with Rouleau I changed my location.

Now to answer the Question of the Day - my absolute favourite is Have Gun, Will Travel.and yes, I am old enough to remember it in its original run. Also love Red Dwarf and the original Doctor Who up to Peter Davison. My viewing patterns are eratic and my must watch are Coronation Street, Grimm, NCIS and CSI and any documentaries and mini-series that look interesting. I would love to see Sons of Anarchy since Kim Coates is from Saskatchewan; didn't even realise it until his long run on CSI: Miami and he mentioned on a talk radio show that his role pretty much made his career.

YES!  I have to watch it OnDemand after the kids are in bed but love that show!  Also the NCIS: LA!

I don't have NCIS on DVD yet but I have all of Friends on DVD and 4 seasons of The Golden Girls too.  I would love Home Improvement on DVD too.  hehe

But of course you're Canadian! I think it was fairly popular in Canada? Nobody I've talked irl to has ever even heard of it, no Americans online either, but everybody should go buy the DVDs because it's awesome :tongue2:.

I love early Joss Whedon (Buffy, Angel, Firefly) for sheer escapism.  And Torchwood.

As for something to get my teeth into, I'm currently on my third viewing of the whole of West Wing...

I am not a television fan. l But it is a good way for me to fall asleep and get some rest. My husband always says, "pick us out a movie you want to see the first 15 minutes of"

Oh, so many.

Currently, Person of Interest.

All-time, I honestly can't say. However, I do laugh out loud at I Love Lucy episodes, and I've been watching that show since I was little. It never gets old, so I guess I would go with that as my all-time favorite. :D
