Can anyone help me and let me know how they knew their cat was healing from Chylothrax? Every time I get my hopes up I am bringing Charlie in for a chest tap. Charlie has a little cough once in a while and little raspy sound when he breaths. He sleeps alot and still eats and uses his liter box. My baby is only four years old. I have been giving him 500mg Rutin,Mangosteen and four drops of Mullin. The Vet put Charlie on Augmentin for 14 days. She has told me it could take two months before we see results. This all started December 10,2012. I caught it right in the begining. My friend has an oxygen tank and is looking for it so I can use it with Charlie. I can't afford the full surgery but maybe the port.

I'm so sorry you are having to go through all this but little Charlie is so lucky to have you! I don't have any experience in this area but hopefully someone will come along soon that does. I just wanted to welcome you to the forums and tell you I am sending all my vibe to you and Charlie while he heals!

From what I understand, this is pretty rare in cats, so it's possible no one here has any experience with it, but I did read that Rutin might help it, which is what you are giving him.  If the Vet said it may take 2 months, then I would not get too worried yet, since it hasn't been 2 months yet that you've been treating him, poor little guy.

for both of you.
