My 4 and half month old kitten has a runny stool that stinks as well.  I am wondering what he could have.  He has been dewormed twice now and his stool still stinks.  I feed him wet and hard food.  Is there something I could do to help his stool get more solid?

He's been dewormed... but was his stool ever sent out to be tested for giardia, coccidia, or T. Foetus? Traditional deworming meds don't work for those. Well - panacur works for giardia, but was he given panacur?

What are you feeding him? I mean - which foods? Do they have grains? And where are you located? (I mean what country?)

Yes, a fecal at the vet would be necessary to rule out any parasites such a coccidia. Is this something new? How long have you had the kitten? Has there been any food changes? What kind of food are you feeding him? Plain yogurt is good for occasional bouts of diarrhea, but sounds to me like he should have a fecal done. Good luck!

My vet never asked for a stool.  I think I am gonna have to call the vet and get him in.  I am worried he may have something.  Hard food and soft food is kitten purina and I live in Canada, southern alberta.  I have had him for 2 and half months.  I think I will just call the vet and go from there.
