My boy Spencer is going to the Vet on Saturday.  He has a sore on the corner of his mouth on the right side. I initially felt it a few weeks ago, but while he wouldn't let me examine the area, I was able to apply some warm compresses to the area a few times.

By feel it felt like it was going down and from what I could see it looked like it was  healing. Then on Friday I noticed that it felt lumpy again (maybe only scabbed over).  I wanted to take him this past Saturday but we had a major snow storm, so he is going this Saturday.

He eats like a champ, drinks well, and plays, so it doesn't seem to be bothering him.  It might be a scratch from a play fight with Katie, but I want to check it out anyway.

While I'm there he is going to have his back end shaved because he has some more hair mats back there. The last time he had one he had an infected anal gland. So I'm going to have them shave and check out his little hiney.

Poor boy. He's easy to catch to get into the carrier, but when he's at the vet's he is paralyzed with fear.

On a positive note, I adopted him from there when he was a kitten, so the girls will get a chance to see him again.

Thanks :)  I'm not so much worried about the outcome of the vet visit. It's more the trauma he experiences. I've never seen a cat so afraid that they become completely paralyzed and docile.
