I'm still filling in for Lauren, but she has informed me she will be back posting the QOTD next week! :clap: In honor of Lauren, today's question is:


When was the last time you moved?





For me it was eight years this past December 23rd. It was crazy moving during Christmas! Then on December 26th we flew to Ireland for two weeks for a wedding. We came home to a house overflowing with boxes. It took a while to dig out. :lol3:

We built a house in 2002 and moved January 2003. I hope I never move again.:clap:

3 1/2 years ago when we bought our first house.  Technically we owned our trailer we were living in; but not the land.  It was DH's purchase at age 20 and we liked it better than having an apartment.  I would be happy staying here forever; but I think we need an addition.

We moved into our current house 15 1/2 years ago. Growing up, we used to have move at least once per year. My mother just couldn't settle down. I would rather be horse whipped than move again.

I moved October 2011 and we are looking for a new place now. This house just doesn't work well with a baby (bedrooms are very tiny) and it's so expensive.

We've lived here 10 yrs. If I have to move again, it will be feet first! Lol! I HATE moving!

I have told Dottie if we have to move, I will hire an arsonist instead of a mover!

We moved last 3 years ago, but before that we moved from our house to a temporary house for 9 months, and brought all the junk from both our house AND my mom's house with us. After we lost OUR house 3 years ago, we packed up everything once and again and moved back into our first "temporary" home (MIL's old house) and FINALLY settled in...I think. Most of the boxed things are put away or donated to Goodwill. We still find a box hidden in the corner of our shed from time to time. And, I still have 4 boxes to go through in our spare bedroom, but I think we are here to stay. At least, I hope! I have moving!

we lived in military housing for 7 yrs. moved here almost 3 yrs ago. really sucked to have to move from a 2 bedroom, 2 story house with a garage..to a very small apartment and no garage.

next thing is to buy a house VERY SOON..like this year. and not move again for a very long time..or ever.

We last moved the week of January 20,1985....into the house we live in now.

We were just talking about that on Sunday when we spent the day with our son and his family. He remembers that we all slept in sleeping bags on the living room floor our first night in the house. And our first meal was Swedish meatballs. I asked him how he remembered that....he didn't know. He just knew that I made Swedish meatballs for dinner that night and that I had taken an apple pie out of the freezer and baked it for our dessert. And we put our milk and soda in an ice chest out on the back deck because we hadn't moved the fridge to the house yet.

that's neat that your son remembered that after all these years.

did you actually remember it before he mentioned it?

13 years ago. Moved back to NC, from living in MN for six & 1/2 yrs. w/ someone.  I'm in an old house that was turned into an upstairs & downstairs apartment. I'm upstairs.
