Hi everyone,
I was hoping to solicit some advice on my cat Bowser, a ginger tabby of one and a half years.
A little history: I rescued him from a box that was outside a methy trailer park in Washington State. He was riddled with fleas and pretty much everything else a kitten could have going on. After several visits to the vet he was given a full bill of health and was able to live up to his true potential of being a hyperactive annoying kitten that wanted to get into everything. He had numerous visits to the vet after this. He managed to get into my fishing tackle and was caught on a lure, he broke his jaw after he jumped on the dog's face, tried to run away and broke his jaw and fractured his skull running into a planter and finally, to have his nads cut off and get his final round of shots.
We've been away for over a week and he and the two dogs have had two house sitters that didn't spend much time here. He is an indoor/outdoor cat in that he has no litter box and goes outside to do the nasty. However, he generally spends more than 20 hours inside.
Right now, his head smells fishy or poopy and is acting like he did when he was on kitty smack from accident. Just sitting around looking a bit lost and bewildered. the smell has gotten better since yesterday but he's still distant and drowsy. Any ideas? We now live in Berkeley CA after a brief stint in San Francisco.
Many thanks in advance for any advice offered.
