Friend-Request?????

Got-an-email,thru-FB,from-someone,who-said-they-rec'd-my-friend-request,and-who-was-I?

I-do-know-them,but-I-did-not-send-a-friend-request,so-how-the-heck,did-they-get-one?

I-rarely-use-FB,and-then-only-to-access-other-cat-sites.

What-do-you-think?

I'm not on FB anymore, but I had a few mysterious things happen when I was.  For example, I am very selective about my work email address and never entered it on FB for any reason.  I know this for an absolute fact.  Yet I received a FB friend request from a high school classmate via my work email.  And the former classmate didn't have any of my email addresses, because we are not actually friends.  I still haven't figured that one out. 

it is very easy to hack a facebook account so odds are that someone hacked your account or someone you know had their account hacked.

the way facebook is set up script-wise it is almost like they want people to get their accounts hacked.


ETA- i should have said that it is very easy for a person with moderate understanding of scripts/coding to hack.
