New member: Feline diffuse iris melanoma?

I'm so glad I found this site. We noticed several freckles in our cat Hunter's eye over Christmas that neither of us remember seeing before. There are TONS of them, but they've been there less than 1 month. 

We have an appointment with the opthamologist on Wednesday. I am hoping that we caught it early and that excision of the eye will solve our problems. 

Hunter is in my prayers.

Well, the specialist agrees that it has many markers of a malignancy. They won't know for sure until they eye is removed. We have to get x-rays and bloodwork and then the surgery... which will cost a grand total of $3,000! 

He's worth it, it's just quite the unexpected expense

Oh my God, this is so sad. And so incredibly sudden. It really boggles the mind how something like this can show up in such a short amount of time and be such a serious threat to his life.

No question though, your vigilance and quick action will save your baby's life.

The unexpected, very considerable expense.......believe me, I can relate.

He is SUCH a good kitty. Here he is making biscuits on my lap this morning.

Ill give it a go tomorrow in better lighting. My iphone isn't cutting it

oh I see hmm makes me wonder if my cat Bryce Brice had it before he whent missing I read on a page somewere they said its cancer in the eye I have no idea sending good vibs your way and for your kitty
