Yuck!

Oh my. Merrick is the one brand of canned food that my cat will eat without fussing. I don't use the BG line but the Turducken, Thanksgiving Dinner and Grammy's Pot Pie... do you know if these are being affected? This is like my worst fear :'(

There's speculation from commentors on the site that it may have been as much of a shipping issue as a canning issue. The cans are indeed dented, so l'm going to wait and see what an investigation finds. l have 2 flavours of Merrick in the rotation, Cowboy Cookout and Turducken, one of which was mentioned in the Comments.

Thanks for bringing this to our attention so quickly, SevenWonders

People don't need to make hasty decisions here. Investigate to see if it is a serious problem or an issue with damaged cans.

Guys, keep in mind this was one incident.....
Mold can happen in damage cans..... And damage cans can happen in shipping ***From any company***
Which is why it is important to always check if the cans are dented - if so, be aware, or do not pick them up from the shelves. These cans were purchased online, and could gotten damaged in transit either to her house of before.

This, however, IMHO is not necessarily a reason to panic.... At least not yet.
