My kitten is about 2 months old. We took him to the vet on December 26. They prescribed erythromycin for conjunctivitis and doxycyline for his upper respiratory infection. It was to be given for 7 days, this past Tuesday was the last day of medication. It's Saturday now and he started showing signs of conjunctivitis yesterday. He's always keeps sneezing though was very active in play after first day of medication. Today, Saturday, he has been sleeping more and has has green discharge.

Would it be a bad idea to give him the old eye prescription or does the vet need to prescribe new medication? I'm assuming he still has an upper respiratory infection because of all the sneezing and now napping. Just yesterday he was happily pouncing around.

I would, especially if you know it will clear up the eye.  Do you give him L-Lysine in his wet food?  That might help more long-term as well.
