I'd ask you if he was sterile, but I have a feeling he's neutered.

Yep! He's neutered. It was funny cause I kept saying I needed him neutered and they kept saying spayed. I said no it's a male, and they wouldn't believe me!!

Hi
What a handsome cat, although I've never seen a male calico! My vet told me all tri colored cats were female...so he must be sterile?! I read that you had him neutered, but it would have made me curious if he was left un-neutered, would he be able to get a female pregnant?

90 some percent are female. Males are rare! Someone told me not to neuter him, but we did!

Wow, I too never saw a male Calico before and didn't think they existed. What is his temperament like? Would you say it's different from female Calicos?

I can't find the article now, but I remember reading somewhere that Calicos have a 'loner' attitude. They don't socialize with others. I'm likely wrong, but that's what I remember reading.

Our Calico Cleo is a loner. She rarely interacts with the other cats and us. About once a week she'll suddenly have some energy and chase one of the other cats for about five minutes, but that's all. She's a big love cat when she's in the mood though.

Here's Cleo after one of her spikes of energy.
