I love this site, but some of you are making me feel really dumb... i'm not trying to be disrespectful... just saying how I feel... I will still call my momma cat a Siamese because that is what she looks like... also, I don't believe I ever called the kittens a tortie at all... and maybe I shouldn't have used specific coloring names... again, I am extremely inexperienced and I AM NOT A BREEDER... thanks...
I've looked back through the thread and feel you are being rather over-sensitive here.  I guess the big bit of information you are missing is that many vets don't know a lot about pedigree cat breeds and cannot tell a genuine Siamese from a pointed domestic of which there seem to be a lot in some places.

Now where are those photos?

I feel they were a little harsh with you too. My vet calls my Casper a "Flame point siamese" and I KNOW his momma was no siamese! He has the most beautiful blue eyes, and to ME he's every bit as good as a purebred. I think you are giving a good description of your cats, and you are a very good mom, so don't let them hurt your feelings. Not having a  pedigree doesn't mean that cat is incapable of giving love and joy to their people. Good luck!   PS, thank you to all you breeders because I truly do respect your experience and advise, you are sound on all your observations, and bring much to the forums!

Vets are well known for mislabeling cat breeds, unless they breed, have breeder clients or are involved in the fancy they are quite clueless

i have spoken my opinions and that is that... All of the kittens are doing GREAT and if I knew how to post pics on here I would lol! I think that what matters most here is NOT their "breeds" (i know that there is no pedigrees involved here) but what matters most is that they are all healthy and doing GREAT... they are now a week old today and a cute fluffy and chunky... :-)....

I do not want to argue anymore... i feel that i have spoken my piece and have gotten my point across as best that i can... i respect EVERYONE'S knowledge on this site as i do not have much knowledge of raising kittens and i appreciate any tips... please forgive me for sounding "over-sensitive".... I've been rather irritable lately as i am fighting the flu and have other various medical issues that put me on edge at times... All excuses aside, i would love to continue to seek advice from all of you experienced kitten raisers :p... Just please keep in mind that i really do not know much and that is why i am here... lets just all be respectful to each other :-) thanks!

Now, how do i post pics? lol... i would love to show you all my beautiful fluffy bundles of furry joy! :-)

the above picture was taken the day after the kittens were born... they are AT LEAST twice that size now... and super fluffy lol... Like I said before... THE BREED IS NOT IMPORTANT TO ME.... THE ONLY THING THAT MATTERS IS THAT THEY ARE HEALTHY :-)

And YES... I have put up cardboard  around the edges of the kennel so that they can not fall through the cracks... I have a heater set up on "low" next to the kennel and they seem happy as can be :-)

these are the kittens at a day old also... all in a line lol... the one in the middle appears to be a full tabby... or at least that is what he looks like... I named him "fatty" cause he's the chunkiest one out of them all... so far he has the most personality as well :-)... yes, I am keeping that one... he reminds me of my childhood cat that just passed away after 19 years (Flora)... she was the best cat ever (of course everyone says that about their cats lol)... anyways, I have to go off to work now, but I will take more pics and post them when I get home from work tonight! :-) thanks everyone!

EXACTLY when did Flora passed away?   You tell the kittens are a week now?

Looks like a tabby, black & white bi colour and perhaps a blue & white bi colour. Hard to tell from the lighting, all domestics of course
Can't tell anything from second photo, are there also 2 whites?

Are you weighing them? Far more accurate than visual growth

Oh, look at the momma, she is so Beautiful! And those kittens! Cutest colourings! I want to hug them all!

Aww, I'm so sorry for your loss.. Especially of a childhood cat.

I'm glad the kittens are doing well. I agree you should get a scale to weigh them. I think even a kitchen one would work fine. ^^

I think so too, so the whites are likely colorpoints.

Wondered the same, though the "and white"s are very white so solids perhaps in there as well. Time will tell if the points colour up
This "very white" may be a photo fault in the photo itself, bad white balance I think it would be called. Or to strong a flash. The white being really no color at all.

If the dad has a point gene, 2 or 3 kittens would be statistically pointed too.

I think TS said points are quite common there. Thus also lotsa of point carriers too.

But as you say, MM, time will tell.

Yes, they are 11 days old now :-) they have all opened their eyes :-) and they are so cute! One of the black and white kittens likes to try and bite the others (of course they don't have teeth yet, but its cute)... they are all nursing well :-) two of the kittens inner eyelids (conjunctiva) are slightly inflamed... I called the vet and she wants to give an exam tomorrow afternoon... she said that likely they will just need a little antibiotics and that this is completely normal... I keep their bedding clean (i.e, new blankets/bedding every day) and mom seems to be doing a great job keeping them clean. They do  NOT have sniffles or any signs of congestion (thank god)... They are all nursing perfectly well and growing bigger every day! (yes, I am weighing them with my kitchen scale)...

Also, YES there are two white kittens however, their ears are turning a bit grey in color... and they have greyish brown noses. way too cute :-) and Thank you ROSIEMAC! I have posted several times that I do not care about the breed! :-) ALL I CARE ABOUT IS THAT THEY ARE HEALTHY AND DOING WELL... thanks!

StefanZ: my childhood cat Flora passed away feb !st 2012... I was not home for it either... I had moved out of state and because she was so old I decided that she should stay with my parents... My dad got her for me when I was 7 for my birthday. He didn't like cats, still doesn't, but he loved her... he would secretly sit in the garage at night and pet her for a while until she went her own way... Sorry, just one of the awesome memories of my best cat friend :-)

MissyMotus: the black and white kittens are actually tabby and white... my camera is not very good... but it is the best I have at the moment :-) and yes, I am weighing them every day... they have a very steady growth pattern and are gaining every day :-)

Great that you're weighing them and they're gaining

Sounds like the whites will be blue point domestics

can you please stop using the term "domestic"? they are CATS... I appreciate the fact that you are a very knowledgeable breeder, but I am not a breeder and I don't intend to be at all... I feel as though you may be using "Domestic" in a derogatory way... In my opininon a cat is a cat... they are very beautiful creatures and they should be treated with respect, love and equality just as we treat the people around us...
