I have been taking care of a (now) 2 day old kitten that was rejected by his mother.. and I've noticed he is going to the bathroom on his own. Not so much bowel movements, but he is going pee on his own.. is this normal? I've never heard of this. He will go when I stimulate it, but he also goes on his own. I am not sure if I should be concerned or not?

Also; He keeps trying to walk. Earlier today he was crawling and holding his bobbling head up, but now he is forcing himself onto his legs, and his whole body wobbles, but he is somehow some what walking for very short periods of time. Is there any reason he is developing these skills too quickly?

Thank you.

Kittens can wee on their own at times, though my kittens are raised with mothers I have seen it.

They can move around and stand shakily from birth.

Thank you! I was starting to worry.

Are there any behaviors i should look out for that send out red flags?

And is twitching a lot while sleeping normal? Usually I don't deal with the kitten until they're a week+ so i have no idea what's considered unusual..

That is an extra plus of weighting them every day, from day 1.  this way you do get a natural feeling of them, and what is normal for them and what not.

Even rescued, fostered semiferale moms usually do allow it, if you do it carefully, quick and respectfully, so the mom sees the whole time her kitten, and it dont takes more then some 20 seconds.

A normal tame mom will surely allow it too.
