Absent TCS friends - anyone know if they are okay?

MeuzettesMom, I am sorry you say you have never felt welcome. I always found the people here to be very friendly and helpfull. While we do try to reach out to others, there is certainly nothing wrong with expressing concern when friends we have made don't post anymore. Personally I enjoy talking to others about cats too. That is why we are here.

MeuzettesMom, feel free to reach out to me! This is true for anybody who feels ignored etc, on TCS. I use gChat and Twitter and now, Pinterest. While I'm not a cat expert, I do know a few things, and I'm quite good with chatting/listening

Personally, I find it a relief to talk cats.

Not able to do that much, but  to make a connection to others with the same interest is a nice release.

You can email your friends, I suppose. Maybe they don't know anyone would miss them...reach out.

Make new friends.

People joining all the time.

Not trying to be pushy, just putting options out there

I'm really sorry. FWIW, I always thought you were pretty cool, although I don't really talk to much of anybody. There are a few people I PM back and forth with, but not many. Email, too. I've talked to a few people on the phone, too. Throw me a PM and I'll gladly get back to you!

The richest of TCS is the liberty to express yourself whatever you feel...:indiff:

MeuzettesMom said so well many people come and go, but the real meaning of TCS is the liberty to express whatever you want to say without do not harm to nobody. MeuzettesMom said what she want to express and her own opinion, we hope she find new ways to make friends here, by my side count for chat anything you want.. I find great to meet new people in everywhere so this way we enrich each others meeting interesting people in everywhere.

I hope you consider still being member of TCS!..

PrettyBoy is fine. I talk to her a lot on facebook.

That is soooo sweet!!!!!!! I'm in a state of shock that anyone remembers me LOL!!!!!!!

ANYWAY............ I too have been spending much time on facebook. I have found that its a

great and fast way to get the word out about rescue on any given situation really fast

and to a huge amount of people. 

I have always enjoyed this site too but you know how that is ...there is only so many 

hours in a day. 

The person I had been missing was TNR1 and I believe her real name was Katie. 
I thought I found her email and I emailed her but never got a response... I think I had

also found her on facebook but never got a response there either. I think she used to

be on this forums board but then one day she totally disappeared??!! I had the feeling,

not sure why, that she may have been sick. I hope she is okay. I knew her originally

from the petfinder forum boards. Again, I hope she is okay.

I certainly wasn't looking to steal anyone elses people searches here.

I am glad people are speaking up.

 Maybe others felt as I. Just didn't think anyone noticed them and simply left.

Glad to see PrettyBoy on. Bet you felt warm all over to have someone mention you were missed.

I remember when I first started I felt similar. But I stuck it out, and over time I've become familiar with people, and while I don't spend much time in PM, I do occasionally PM a couple of long time regulars that I "know" through here.

Please stick around    Just because your PM isn't flooded, doesn't mean that people don't want you here, or that you don't belong here. I post on several forums where I don't send or get PMs.

Not anything at those places either.

I like you guys.  This site is the best  for information and answers. Even if I don't agree totally.

Just not much connecting going on, on here and if people are leaving that maybe their reason too.

I am a too old to bounce around too much(site to site)

This is the only animal related site that I'm a member of. The other sites are dedicated to art. I'm big into the art and 3d graphic community.

I'm sorry you feel that way too, but glad you are staying.   I'm not sure how often you post, respond to threads etc.. but I think that's how we get to know one another here.

As you see more post from people & are interacting in conversations, you get to know others here. I never p.m. ed anyone until I had a specific question that I knew someone could answer

directly, or help me w/ specific advice, or vise, versa.  I've only been here a little over a year, (Nov. was a yr.) & I think I got to know people because Angel was having some problems, & he's my first kitty, so I was posting a lot & learning a lot. I don't do Face book, or any of that other stuff either, just this site.

Meuzette'sMom, I am glad you are staying.  I really enjoy talking to others on this site.  I am not on any social networking sites anymore and the some of the people on the non-cat related site I belong to are kind of rude.   (I like it for the ones that aren't.  I overlook the others.)   

There are a few members I haven't seen in some time and one of them is Oscar's Mommy.  There are others but I am recovering from yesterday at work (flu epidemic).  My mind is still reeling.

I don't think I'm very liked on here myself, and I've been fairly absent for a while. I'm trying to post a little bit more now. I think I really stopped posting very often when I found out that a fairly new member became a mentor (not saying any names here!)... I was just a bit jealous.

Glad to hear that Ducman is okay, I had been wondering about him. I only realized that Kailie was absent when I saw this post- I've always liked her and am a little saddened that she doesn't come on much lately.

I tend to read here more than post.  I do post when I feel I can offer someone support.  Even though I do not post a lot I was really impressed with the support I received when my baby Claude had to be put to sleep 3 years ago due to a stroke. When I posted in the rainbow bridge section I received quite a few supportive PM's.  A part of me will always miss him even though I have added new family members since then.  

I have sent PM's to people on other non-cat related forums to come to this place for advice with issues they may be having with their cats.  I don't know if these people listened to me or not.  I feel that people on this forum have a lot of information they are more than willing to share.
