HE ATE THIS MORNING!

Although it was still his grain-free canned, he still ate without hesitation!

He also peed without hesitation! I'm so happy about this. I will still keep a close eye on his bowel movements - but this is good news!

He hasn't popped...and I will still look into trying to find the Egg Yolk Lecithin and maybe some Miralax.

This seem to be looking up!

Thanks for all your support! I will definitely be keeping you guys updated.

This is the egg yolk lecithin that I am currently using , although I recently ordered another brand, also sold on Amazon.  The new one is Swanson, but I haven't tried it yet, so cannot attest to it.  Another member recommended it, so thought I would try it.  I guess it's more powdery.  The one I linked to is more like actual egg yolks in a capsule.  Two of mine really like it and will eat it plain.

I give one capsule per day to my hairball prone kitty, but you might want to start off with 1/2 per day, or 1 every other day or something like that

Also, are you giving them a probiotic or digestive enzyme, since you are feeding raw?  I use Prozyme  and this probiotic:
So glad Hooligan is eating again (even if it isn't his usual raw)

I have yet to figure out exactly what brand I will be using for the egg yolk lecithin. I guess it's a matter of, I don't really know what to look for?

I am giving a probiotic. For his hair ball issue now, I am also giving him Slippery Elm Bark. And, once things start getting back on track, I will be giving him GreenMin from Dr. Dobias. Have you heard of this product?

I can't wait till he starts eating raw. He ate very well this morning, but I had one can left of an iffy flavor. He isn't a HUGE fan of lamb so his "dinner" and "lunch" meals didn't go as well as this morning. But, he is eating which is great news. He does seem hungry, just didn't eat a favored flavor.

Wht you want to look for, is Egg Lecithin. Frankly, I don't think you are going to have many choices - in here in the US we have two as far as I know. I expect in Canada to be about the same. IMHO don't waste your time looking forever.... They aren't out there..... You have the one posted here by mrsgreenjeens, which is the same I use and quite a few other members too, and Swanson, a brand new product in the market. Just make sure it is EGG Lecithin (and not SOY)..........

Hooligan did great yesterday again! Eating an ENTIRE can of his Rabbit/Pork Liver mix. He seems to have gotten his appetite up quite a bit!

I also heard him and his little poops in the litter box this morning, so no need to Miralax! I think the 3x a day feeding his really helping him keep his food down and also making him hungry enough to wait by the placemat he eats meowing his head off!

Ruby, on the other hand, isn't too pleased on 3 meals a day ha ha. I can't afford to give her more - or she will gain weight! Poor pumpkin.

I am thinking of transitioning Hooligan back to raw, quite slowly, next week. I would like him to get used to eating full meals of anything - without puking it up. And so far, no pukes!

Yay!  So...did you change the number of meals of something?  And if you did, there is no reason that you need to change the amount of food given daily from before, just change how much at each feeding so it still equals the same overall in a day.  That  way Ruby won't gain weight.  (or if Hooligan needs more to keep from having that frothing throw-up,then give him more, but keep her's the same?)

I sure did! I am now feeding him 3x a day. It is a little complicated for me to get used to, but I am SO happy with how he is acting/feeling that I don't even care.

Ruby is just a little fatty! Ha ha, She meows BECAUSE I have cut down her portion. She doesn't need very much to begin with, so when I split her food to equal 3x a day...its not very much but she'll get used to it! No doubt.

I just can't wait to put Hooligan back on raw!
