We take the "in sickness & in health" part in the marriage vows too literally!

DH has mostly gotten over his stomach virus, and boy, it was BRUTAL.  You don't want to know the kind of laundry stains I'm trying to eradicate...I've never seen him so sick! And I'm dreading cleaning his bathroom tomorrow.

Guess who the next victim was?  Though I have managed to keep my bed sheets clean (so far), I have been so SICK the past 2 days. Yesterday was the worst.  I vomitted 5 times yesterday morning.  Nothing would stay down. I had no appetite, and, while watching tv, the site of even draft beer being poured into a glass made me almost vomit.  I was so weak and tired, I had trouble tending to the cats.  I couldn't get warm. My stomach hurt. I only tried to eat to keep my blood sugar from plummeting--I wasn't hungry at all--and still am not. It took over an hour to drink a crude "milkshake" I made from 1/2 a Klondike bar and milk (when my stomach is sick, I crave milkshakes, which help it).

I did sleep very well last night, and thought I had escaped the bathroom part. Nope. That started this afternoon. Apart from that, I feel a lot more energetic, and did some housework today. Still no appetite. I had no dinner (I never skip meals; it's how I control my blood sugar), so I'm now choking down this gawd-awful Minute Rice chicken/rice thing that DH had (I thought he hated rice?!?!). Yuck. Some vacation!

The next part may be TMI ("too much information"), but it's kind of funny:

The first time I threw up, I went to the downstairs toilet. While kneeling in front, I noticed some disgusting brown splashes on the underside of the seat (hubby left me a gift when he was sick).  I tried to grab the tub of Clorox wipes with my left hand while puking into thte toilet. Do not try this at home, as they say...Guess I can't multi-task!

Thanks, everyone! (Linda, I'm now calling it the "No-Walk Virus", LOL!)

I slept unitl 9 AM--something I never do.  Got up, managed to eat 1/2 bowl of cereal (I couldn't eat even 1/4 bowl yesterday), and half a glass of orange juice. Still feel very tired--much more than yesterday--I felt quite peppy yesterday. I've been eating tiny amounts of hubby's probiotic yogurt, which is simply ghastly in taste. I'm used to no-sugar added Yoplait--but sugar subs have stool softeners. I don't need those this week! I do think his yogurt is helping a bit, though. I choked down a few spoonfuls late this morning, and just ate an entire, toasted roll. I couldn't do that yesterday.

I had so many plans for my Christmas vacation. I planned to clean out the attic, and get rid of my Civil War reenacting clothing. I haven't done it since 2003. Time to go! I also wanted to organize the garage; I had bought storage cabinets last month. I wanted to get rid of much of my sewing room stuff; we seem to really use it as a guest room anymore, and I want to put doors on that closet, so I need to re-configuire the shelving, hence, pitching many things. Oh well! I think I'll just curl up, and read the Jack the Ripper book that came in the mail 2 days ago!
