new cat here.

hi all my name is phylisanne and i am a new member and my cat is named salem.we got him from the a.s.p.c.a six years ago after our cat of 10 years dissapeared one morning and he naver came back.he was suffering from feline gum disease and we were treating him for a long time.so we think that he just went away to die somewhere.it was so sad to loose him like that .but we went to the aspca in brooklyn and we got salem .he was around two months and we had to wait till he was nutered and a bit bigger and then we took him home and now he is our house master.as we think that cats are not pets but members of the household.thank you phylisanne.
