Cheating

I just went through the feline version of "lipstick on the collar". At Christmas Dinner, I petted my brother's cats for a bit. Just after getting home, I offered to give Trace some scritches under the chin; he took a sniff (maybe 2), and promptly smacked the straight up dickens out of my hand. I feel so guilty

 That happened to me when I was going up to take care of my mom's cat when she was first admitted to the nursing home. I would have Muffin's scent all over me, then I'd come home and Mollipop would sniff at me intently, checking the other scent out. And she was not amused....sometimes she would even give me the flehmen reaction!

And then when I brought Muffin home from my mom's and Mollipop smelled her, she looked at me. "So THAT's what that smell was from!"

This happens to me when I come home from visiting my sister and her doggie Sandi.  Autumn immediately starts sniffing my shoes and then sticks her tail straight up in the air as she walks away.  It's as if she's saying " who the heck have you been around".  She soon gets over it tho
