She is roughly 7 months old - when she was four months old, she had a rough experience with losing her balance constantly. I took her to the family vet and he said that perhaps it was vestibular disease and that it should go away on its own- and it did!

The last couple of days, it has returned .. but worse yet, tonight, I realized that anytime she is walking around or standing still, her hind legs shake uncontrollably as does the rest of her (I say hind legs because she always jumps onto my leg to say hello and was trembling tonight).

When she is laying down, she does not shake at all. She's eating normally, using the restroom, purring contentedly and wants to play.

I'm worried. ): It's Sunday, the day before Christmas Eve and seeing the veterinarian is going to be impossible until Tuesday. Does anyone have any ideas as to what it could be? Help!

There are lots of things it could be, from dietary problems to a stroke to poisoning.  What did the vet do the last time?

I no longer think it's related. My boyfriend told me that the other day he stepped on her lower half (with his huge work shoes on) when I wasn't home; she may have a sprain or a hairline fracture or any number of things. As of this morning, she is limping around and dragging her right leg a little. She still shakes when she puts pressure on her legs. I am taking her in on Wednesday morning, she may need x-rays and a physical to assess it.

You can always take her to an Emergency Vet today.  And it wouldn't hurt to CALL your Vet and see if they're open todayand ask if they can squeeze you in!.  She needs to be seen as soon as possible.  Poor little one.

I tried. My vet's office is closed until Wednesday and the closest emergency vet is almost three hours away. She is in pain and I feel so helpless right now.

I wish I could take away her pain and make it my own. I hate knowing there is nothing I can do until Wednesday but watch her suffer.

Try giving her 1/4 baby aspirin [low dose] for pain (but no more until you see the vet).  And if you have a heating pad or even electric blanket, see if she is more comfortable laying on it.  Lowest setting possible, 10 to 15 minutes at a time, once an hour--similar to what humans would do if they pulled a muscle (reduce swelling).  I'd also recommend icing the area but know that may be unrealistic.

I know what helplessness feels like, many vibes.

Did you take your kitten to the vet today? What did he say and how is your kitten doing?
