This is not a "question of the day," or any such thing. However...

I'll ask a question here that I've asked before, elsewhere.

Suppose your family was one of the "1 percenters."  Make it even a "one tenth of one percenter."  That mean truly wealthy.

Now (an impossible task), imagine that your are still who you are now, with the one difference that you have all the money you could possibly want.  What sort of a "toy" would you like to have?  This could be anything, with the understanding that it has to exist, it can be bought, and it's something that will make you AND OTHERS happier.

I'll give you an example.  Growing up dirt poor, we rarely went to an amusement park.  When we did, there was one "ride" that always drew me in, and which I never got to ride as much as I wanted to.  The bumper cars!!!  I would like to have my own bumper car ride.  I could conduct races, etc.  I could drive around and run into anyone.

Yeah, it's silly.

By the way, my second choice would be this cruise ship as my private yacht:

Today it is the "Cristal," belonging to Louis Cruise Lines, but when I first saw it, it was Norwegian Cruise Lines' "Leeward."  It has an interesting history.  It started as a ferry, but sank due to a door problem.  It's original name was the "Sally Albatros," I believe.  It's a small ship, not much bigger than a yacht, anyway.  I especially like the neat angle on the stern.

A home. Without a doubt. Paid off (obviously) in an urban environment where I can take the train/subway still. I hate spending money on things you can't "see" like gas, insurance.

Like the cruise ship I mentioned above, you can buy your own used jet for an amazingly low price. You can get used 747's for less than the price of a Lear.

A mini mansion that is personalized to my needs.

A huge cat area with enclosed cat porch and a fenced in dog area that was very secure so I can leave and not worry about coming home to anxiety messes...or stolen dogs.  All tile flooring with drains in the floor for easy care.  A seperate area for husband to relax in and display all his rc cars and a home theater, this area would be pet free just so he could start 100 things nad never worry about things being knocked down.  A kids playroom with a ball pit and some other neat toys. A big backyard with a mini water fountain and blue lights at night. Just want a lovely home that is easy to maintain and very pet friendly

Just one? I'll cheat with my answer and say a 6 bedroom apartment or house. 15,000 square feet. With 3,000 of that being outdoor space.

It would make others happy because I would invite family to stay for the holidays and we would play games and relax in the home theater. My cats would have trees to relax in and that would make me happy

Over the river and through the woods...
A horse. Not as a toy of course, but I have always wanted an Arabian. Preferably a bay, but I'm not picky. Second choice would be a pinto...Love the spots.

(and, thanks for reminding me Mike, I completely forgot about the QOTD!!!!)

An older Jaguar convertible. In deep red. With a manual transmission. That would make my husband happy, because he'd get to drive it sometimes. It would also make my sister very happy for the same reason. I hope that counts.

What kind of Jaguar?  How about an XK-E?  Dottie's cousin used to have one, and I've always thought it would be neat.

By the way, there used to be a company here in the Metroplex who removed the original Jaguar engines and replaced them with a Chevy V8.  It took them one day to do it, and they did one every work day.  While the old Jag engine is beautiful, it makes a great boat anchor.  And the Chevy engine bolts right up to the Jag parts.

l already have the floor-plan of the hose l would have built for me if l ever win the lottery.

lt's Mediterranean style with an indoor swimmimg pool (and a team of maids).

For cars (l love cars) l'd have a BMW 550 sedan for when l need to appear respectable. For the rest of the time l'd have a BMW X6M Hamann, both black.

A much larger house, with a maid to clean (due to my 9 cats. I actually enjoy cleaning, but feel it's not up to my standards. Having some help would help!) I'd stay in the same area. I like the change in seasons.

On the same property, a fully-staffed cat shelter. A really nice fully-staffed cat shelter! The cats would have a lovely, friendly, happy, comfy, warm place to stay, and all of the medical care they need. And tons of love.

That's all I'd want. How wonderful it would be...

I would make a Cat House on the Kings where I live.  I would also pick a family in need at Christmas and give to them.  I know a farm who has sleigh rides with reindeer.  I would rent that out and have the most awesome Santa.  He would have a fully decorated tree, food and a huge bag of presents for the children.  I would give the parents enough money to pay for rent and utilities until they can get back on their feet.  Santa would take them on a sleigh ride, not in the air due to insurance reasons, and sing Christmas carols.  I would not let it be known that I did this.  There is a Santa for everyone.

My own private spaceship--with all the government permits required to actually get into space. This would be a fully staffed luxury liner so I could take friends and family on trips to the moon, or just a spin around mother earth. I'm not so sure about taking the fur kids. I'd hate to have to clean up after a space-sick cat.

I don't know exactly what I'd have, but there would be a Krispy Kreme donut shop on the property for all to enjoy.

I want a private island. I don't like tropical weather, or Alaskan weather. . .and that's where most islands are :lol3:. But, hey, if I have all the money I want, I can BUILD an island somewhere!
