So I haven't posted in a while so here's a nice update (pictures to come later of course!)

Lily (formerly Cheeto) was fixed and is doing great! She's gotten very big and her pretty blue eyes go with her very pretty orange coat nicely. She loves her mommy and doggy and kitty siblings. Pip is also doing great.

Ivy (now named Storm) FINALLY found a home and has turned into a beautiful kitty and wouldn't recognize her now she looks so grown up! She's very smart and has been learning tricks and comes to her name.

Chippy will be going to her home soon to be with her family and their month old baby. Being such a gentle kitten, she's going to be a perfect fit for them!

Annie (Fern) is loving her mommy and stealing potatoes and "killing" them. Crazy as always!

Thunder has become quite the brat and is spoiled by me. She follows me to bed and found some nerf darts in my room and now carries them around and plays fetch with me before calling it a night.

Super Kitty (Autumn) is loving life with a little male silver tabby her age at her new home with a 4 year old and 2 year old girls. She's fearless and eats a ton and has made the 4 year old very talkative!

Pumpkin is going to his new home Sunday to be there for Christmas. He has turned into quite the young man and purrs nonstop now! He still has a suckling problem (did even with his mother) but his new owners were warned and don't seem to mind. Going to miss this cutie along with the others but he's getting a great home! They're so excited to get him, they're driving 5 hours to pick him up! Took him on a trial car ride the other day and he LOVES the car!!!

Amber (a dark red tabby girl a coworker of my dad's found in the street) had a URI when we took her in along with tons of fleas but is now URI free and after getting kitten flea meds the other day is happy as could be. A little skinny (she started acting lethargic and not herself until the flea meds but now she's her playful piggy talkative self with her adorable raspy little voice) but we're fattening her up quickly.

And poor little Pooka (a 6-7 week old black kitten my friend's brother found on a cold day sitting outside crying for 12 hours) she was shy at first and hid from us but when we would take her from her hiding spot she'd purr and be happy to be with us (got her in at just the right time!) She loves the dogs now and craves affection. But when treating the kittens for fleas we did her too (only a couple drops from the kitten tube, not even the whole thing) and she was fine then yesterday started getting wobbly. Eats, drinks, gets up on the bed, gets around the room using the wall and even now without the wall since she's figuring out unbalanced walking. Her head's tilted and she's lost her little voice. We had a cat years ago who had a stroke from flea meds and after a couple weeks came out with just a little awkward walk. We feel horrible about this. Giving a poor kitten a stroke
but she's still completely aware and alert, eats, drinks, is hydrated, we bought her meat baby food as a special treat, she's getting plenty of cuddles and purring away as we keep her under observation and hope she makes a full recovery. Just baths with Dawn for the fleas for her from now on! It wasn't even a cheapy brand flea med either and it's for her age and weight (she's the heaviest at her age out of all our litters this year too!). Poor baby. Least her personality hasn't changed and she's trying to be a normal kitten. Amazing how strong these little guys are.

As for out feral taming project, Lucy, we stopped giving her food in the basement and she comes up and sits in the kitchen with the other cats and will let us get within 10 feet of her. She comes out in the living room if we pretend not to see her and the dogs aren't paying attention. She finds the kittens very intriguing and was playing with a toy mouse the one night and even played with ChippyDippy! Lots of progress with this youngin'! She's only 1-2 years old. Once we get her fully tamed, we're going to get her a home (the person who adopted Lily may take her. Lily's her kitten too!)
