Paddington

When my new neighbors moved in, their beautiful one eyed cat Paddington disappeared.  They put up signs around the neighborhood and it turned out that a woman had taken him and he was living in her house.  He was returned home and then we got a note in our mailbox last week that he had disappeared again.  My husband was driving home a bit ago and saw what he thought was a dog that had been hit beside the road.  He turned around to see if it was still alive and it was a cat.  He says he is 95% sure it is Paddington.  I have called and left a voice mail for the neighbors to call me.  I think they would want to bring him home and bury him.  I am so upset that I am physically sick.  Paddington often stopped by our house to eat and I just loved him.  Even though he wasn't ours, my heart is broken. 

I am sorry to hear of the passing of Paddington.  It sounds as though you were loved by many.  {{{Hugs}}}

Thank you so much for your kind responses.  I did talk to my neighbor about an hour after my initial post.  I hated breaking the news to her.  She supposed to call me back after she went up to see if it was him, but she never did.  My feelings are that it was Paddington.
