Over the river and through the woods...
Well, I'm about ready to venture out in the world to finish my Christmas shopping. Today's question is: Do you enjoy Christmas shopping?

I admit, I do enjoy the hustle and bustle a bit, at least for the first 1/2 hour or so. I went on Black Friday and haven't been in a store (except for the market) since.  Here's hoping I don't try to strangle someone! Wish me luck!

Good luck!

I don't like shopping, don't like malls, and don't like the puny limited selection we have here. You can search all day and only if you're very lucky you'll find what you are looking for, but there will be a big markup in price (because of on an island). I'd much rather shop online, get a better deal, and have it brought to my door.

Looking back on past years, it seems to me that Christmas shopping is a lot easier and more fun if the budget that year isn't too tight!

I don't enjoy Christmas shopping. I have to buy for 6 boys (ranging from 3-13) and a 19 year old in my family. I have absolutely no idea what boys like so I never know what to get them. I also have 7 and 9 year old girls to buy for that I never know what to get. Plus my husband is hard to buy for, so is his dad.

A little bit--but I do most of it online. I take a day off to do some closer to the day, but make sure I do that early in the morning, before the crowd and traffic. I usually treat myself to a bagel and tea mid-morning and lunch later. I try to make it fun and festive for me. I hate crowds and bad traffic and being rushed to complete my shopping.

I also do bits on my lunch hour--just stocking stuffer things--so, if if the lines are too long, I can just walk away, and go some other time.

I love it!  I love selecting gifts for the people on my list.  I do a good bit online; especially for my kiddos...so I can stretch my budget for them.  But it's fun to walk around and check things out by hand too.  I love wrapping them and I love watching them be opened too.  I only have a few gift cards to pick up now and I'll be done.  Unless I can find the stocking stuffers I usually get for DH.  Walmart didn't have them this year (those chocolate oranges; we both love them!)

Yes and no. I love shopping for my pets and my family.. but hate going to the store at this time of year since it's SO crowded. Luckily the present my brother wanted was online. I have to go shopping for my mom tomorrow night and the pets and I will be done since I already got presents for my brother and my dad.
I am not looking forward to the huge crowds though!

For the most part, yes I do enjoy it. About two weeks ago, we did most of the shopping for our grandkids online from Amazon, so they're pretty much finished. Our DIL emails us a list for the kids, complete with pictures of the items....makes it a lot easier on us!

This year, though, things have been more hectic than usual and I'm having a rough time getting much of anything done.

I'm not a big shopper in general. Some days I like to just walk around the mall and browse, but usually its not around the holidays!! I do enjoy SS shopping though :)

This year, BF and I aren't really doing any gifts except to each other and the animals (and my SS). Being laid off in March and losing the unemployment benefits at the end of the month means no "Christmas shopping for everyone" this year like we did last year. My parents have done gifts in a couple years, although my mom does love to shop :lol3:

I love shopping for people, but try to do the bulk of it before the stores get crazy, or online.
