Hello, my TCS friends. Sorry I have been missing so much these last few weeks. WE ARE MOVING!!!!!!!!! And I have been overwhelmed with the sale of our house and trying to make it all work out. It finally has and we only have two weeks left. We move on the 28th!!! We are very, very excited.

I also have been very busy trapping my feral/stray cats and getting them to a safe haven so they will be taken care of. Willow and a couple others are at my dear friend's INDOOR feral cat sanctuary. She has two huge attached outdoor enclosures so the cats have access to the outdoors safely. Her name is Judy and she is an angel on earth. I also trapped what I thought were feral black/white older kittens, but they turned out to be extremely friendly once trapped. Both are neutered now and up for adoption at our local Petsmart. It warms my heart to know that I can leave this home and no one will be left behind. The woman buying our house has offered to feed any stragglers that might show up and will call me and my contacts so that we can come to trap them. I will be moving an hour and a half away so it will be easy for me to return to help if any others show up. Now that Willow is gone, I am seeing some of them return. I am emotionally drained over this - one of the hardest parts of this move is the concern for my feral cats. I have lived here 16 years.

My six indoor babies are having a ball with all of the packing going on. Just the other morning, I came out to the kitchen and saw the :princess: Perla resting upon a box that I had packed the day before. I took a picture !!!!!!!!!!!! :flail:

I will not be on TCS much till after we get settled. Just wanted to drop in and say hello and that I miss you all very much.

 I guess the :princess: feels that she is VERY FRAGILE and PLEASE DO NOT STACK ME!!!!! :flail:

Congratulations, Lauren! I figured you had found YOUR house and had started to finalize things. And I'm so happy for you!
And for your ferals.....good job on taking care of them. Perla looks lovely as ever!I I hope things go well with the move and getting your old house sold. Since you won't be on the board for awhile, Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year!

I also went through a move two months ago. The hardest part definitely was taking care of the strays. Luckily everything worked out on the very day before we moved. Two of the kittens (Tazriorn and Despurreaux) went to a lady that my sister works with. The others went to a foster home (another wonderful cat loving lady that my sister works with helped us getting the cats to the foster home). Due to their fantastic personalities (I credit myself on raising them so well :p), their foster mommy kept them, and they are now perma-cats! :D Their mother, Kitty, had disappeared a few weeks before the move. Right as we were leaving in the moving truck, she came back. She seemed really worried because her kittens weren't there. Some neighbors said they were feeding her as well, so I'm hoping they are continuing to take care of her. At least we got to have a proper goodbye, and we know she was okay. :)

Hope your move goes smoothly, and you love the new place!!

(Perla looks gorgeous!!!)

AW Thanks - I do think Perla is just the cutest thing on earth. I just love looking at her because she makes me laugh due to her cuteness. And, good thing, because she hates to be pet. :lol3:

Will keep you all updated on how things are going! Thanks for the well wishes. We are very, very excited. :D :wavey:
