Hiya, I'm skor (my mother calls my Chriss)

I'm a volunteer cat trapper for TNR for brookhaven animal shelter and adoption center as well as Save-A-Pet (Port Jeff - NY - Long Island)

I also am the caregiver for my own colony of critters in Ronkonkoma NY (Long island)

I have two baby girls (6yrs old) Betty and Veronica.

I have one rehabilitating feral indoors (Dusty) who has a furrever home waiting for him as soon as he is ready.

I also have two foster boys from the Brookhaven animal shelter (5mnths). Their foster names are Frankie and Oliver (Olly-Furr)

If you would like to see pictures of my colony cats - plz visit my recently created facebook page "TNR Long Island" (will be uploading my photos this week)

feel free to post ur pictures and share ur Feral Cat care stories on my little page :)

Skor220:  welcome aboard.

I notice you're in the Long Island area:  how did your shelter cats fare during Superstorm Sandy?  And, are YOU okay?

PS:  feel free to visit the Feral Cat forum.

The shelter cats and dogs did fine. We didnt see the type of flooding that the shore areas did. The shelter and save-a-pet were one of the many groups rescuing and saving pets that were left behind or trapped in flooded buildings. great people work in these organizations!!

The colony cats in my area also did fine. they ate like PIGS before the storm hit and then disappeared until after the storm.

I did a head count just to be sure :)

Hello Skor220,

Need help catching a sick cat, just posted my plea on The Cat Site just now. Do you do this for free or do you charge people a fee or a donation.  If so, how much, when would you be able to start to catch the cat, do you always catch the cat. How long have you been trapping and what kind of trap do you use?

Also, do you know any women that trap cats, because this female cat is used to womens voices, no offense.

If you can get back to me sooner than later that would be greatly appreciated.

Chris M.
