Shadow is a 17 year old dhc. He has always been very healthy, until now... The last couple of weeks I've noticed a very slight "bob" in his head. He's been a lot chattier and way more cuddly then usual. Today he was talking even more then usual but seemed fine. He's eating, drinking and going to the bathroom. Tonight my 15 year old daughter picked him up as she always does but after a couple minutes she came into the kitchen holding and crying. He wouldn't hold his head up. I put him on the floor and he had a lot of trouble walking. I was suspecting a stroke but after looking up the symptoms I don't think that's it. He doesn't seem to be in any pain and my daughter begged me for one last night with him so we're taking him to the vet tomorrow. I suspect the worse, that we are going to have to put him down..... Any ideas on what could be wrong with him???

A thorough exam is called for. I wouldn't panic yet. It could be something like diabetes, Who knows what. A complete bed panel will probably be needed.

just checking in wondering how the Vet visit went.  Sometimes, as Mike said, it's something like low Potassium, or diabetes or something else.
