Hi everyone Im new here! I have an 8 month old kitty who has been sneezing a lot since I adopted him. It never sneezed anything to before other then but occasionally a little clear mucous. Tonight however it sneezed about 10 time in a row, which is not exactly abnormal but this time it sneezed out this thick brown clump of mucus tinged with blood ( pictured below)

Im really concerned as i love this little guy. Im planning to take him to the vet on monday, but I'm just wondering if anyone has any ideas or advise.

thanks in advance

Oh ick!  Been there, done that with projectile sneezing!  So not fun.  (I have a chronic sneezer.)  The blood is probably from forceful, repetitive sneezing.  Be sure you mention the repetitive sneezing to the vet and let the vet know that the sneezing has been productive with this mucous.  Sounds like something's definitely going on, maybe airborne allergies or even a slight upper respiratory infection.  Have you tried giving him L-Lysine to see if that helps?  Does he also have weepy eyes?  Is he a rescue kitty and do you know if he was a stray?

I adopted him four months ago from the humane society, and as far as i know he was born there. He's been sneezing since the day we took him home. He has a big appetite and loves to play, so i never really thought the sneezing was that serious, un till now. Right now he's on amoxicillin and clavulanate potassium, because  we recently adopted a second kitty who got him sic. May have been bordatella according to the vet. So far with the treat meant both kitties seem to be doing better, but my little guy is still sneezing just as bad bas before. His eyes haven't been all that watery except one time about 3 weeks ago bring him back from the cottage, his create was soaked with eye discharge , I'm pretty sure it came from the eyes and not nose. i just assumed it was because he was running around in the cold and then got in the car.  Ive never given him L-Lysine I'm going to look into it. I just hope nothing too serious is wrong.

thank you for the help!
