September 20 will be the fifteenth anniversary of Russ' death. He used to joke that, if there was such a thing as reincarnation, he wanted to come back as a cat and live with me. Russ said that he couldn't think of a cushier life and he'd still get to sleep with me.
Recently, I've posted about Buddy's playing with my underwear and "groping". This evening, while I was eating dinner, my butt got grabbed through the slats of the chair. Guess who?
If I weren't such a hard-headed realist, I'd almost think that Russ HAS come back. Buddy is the first cat, that I've ever had act like this. To make it even weirder, Russ' son is a "Junior" and, while Russ was alive, his son was known as "Buddy".
My Buddy is kindly disposed toward Bill and I know that Russ wanted me to go on with my life and be happy. I'm sure that he would be glad that I have found someone, who loves me and takes care of me.
I'm not sure about this reincarnation stuff but, if Buddy starts playing the piano (thank goodness we don't have one), drinking Scotch and smoking cigars - I'm outta here!
