Sorry for one question right after the other! Being a new cat owner, I get a little confused and I also like to have multiple opinions to my problems. Anyhow, I have to questions for you today~
The first is that my cat, Freya, bites me constantly when playing. She will be a year in May and my friends say its a kitten thing, but I really think she's getting to old. And she hurts when she bites! I make loud noises to scare her and push her away to signify that I'm hurting and that play time is over. I also spray her with water if she's particularly bad, but this doesn't seem to deter her. Is there any reason why she bites me and how can I stop this?
My second question is about crying. Apparently, whenever I leave my house to go spend the night with my friends, Freya will sit outside my room and cry even though she knows I'm not there. In fact, she does this when I'm home! She sits outside my door and cries. I'll open it to see what she wants, but she just sits there and stares at me. I always keep my door opened a crack so she can get it, so it's not like she's locked out... She'll sit outside my door and cry and meow no matter how many times I call for her until finally she comes into my room. Is there any reason for this?
