Hello all! I have two pretty awesome kitties, Molly and Tyson. They are 6 years old and are brother and sister. They are so different in personality, and I love that. Molly is a talker and all I have to say is her name for her to meow. Tyson only meows when he's on the cat carrier really.. or once when he was worried about me putting Molly in the carrier to bring her to the vet for her spay. I love them so much, and have way too many pictures on my phone to prove it.

Everyone who meets Tyson says he is the coolest cat :) He has such a funny personality and loves attention. He's a big boy, but can be the biggest scaredy cat! A knock on the door will have him belly to the floor, going under the couch. He loves to lay around in the weirdest positions, or even stretched out against the wall. He also loves being held :)

Molly is super sweet and loves attention too.. but she hates to be picked up! She used to be very tiny, but after being spayed she has gained quite a bit of weight. I swear the spay made her a little funnier too :) She is obsessed with this fish toy and will carry it around or bat it from here to there.

Best friends :)

We are glad to be here!

PS: Tyson was diagnosed last week with hepatic lipidosis and is currently fighting that battle. I posted a thread in the health forum if anyone is interested.

Is hepatic lipidosis a fatty liver?  I am going to have to look at that, too, as I am not familiar with it.  (I'm guessing from the name of it, and I'm not sure I'm right.)  I love the pics, especially of your two cats together.  Welcome to TCS!  We are glad to have you here (and we love pictures).

Welcome to the site!

Your cats are adorable. Hopefully Tyson will be feeling better soon. I will have to check out your other thread.

Yes, it's a fatty liver. I had never heard of anything like it before. The cat stops eating for some reason and the anorexia leads their body to burn fat for energy. He lost weight gradually, and with Molly ballooning up I didn't really see a change in him until the day he acted sick too. He hates me right now with the treatments, but I know he will love me for it later :-D

See they are such cuties. Best if luck with Tyson too! It's impossible to try to give or big boy medicine I swear. We tried giving him his tape worm meds, held his mouth closed for about 15 minutes or so too. 2 second after being released he spit it out. .....

Thank you! Tyson is so photogenic too.. so I usually get made fun of for how many pics I have of him compared to Molly =) He is usually super strong, so I could never imagine giving him medicine in normal circumstances! Oh the things we do for our fur babies. :0)

It was definitely a 2 man team to get the medicine in his mouth. My other baby, jaws, started foaming at the mouth a little. Even if they are flavored like treats, it's like they just know ours medicine and refuse to swallow it.
