I hope this is the right forum for this, I am a little cloudy right now. We had a lovely Thanksgiving, but things have kinda gone backward from there.

Friday night I had a hepatic encephaly episode and dh was taking me to the hospital. If my ammonia levels do not get taken care of, I could become comatose and die within a few days. I also get can get very combative and stubborn about hospital visits, and not remember any of it. The hospital I went to in NC started sedating me when I came through the door. Dh was getting my paperwork and bag, he asked me to sit in the kitchen and wait for him. Instead of waiting, I wandered out the door and apparently fell  down the stairs and onto the concrete patio. The EMTs were worried that I had broken my neck until I apparently started fighting with them over the cervical collar and backboard. The prognosis is subdural hematoma, a lot of bruising, and either a cracked or severely bruised tailbone. This is the first day I haven't felt like I went a few rounds with George Foreman. My head still hurts and I feel like I have literally had my butt kicked, but I seem to be on the mend. Dh has been a rock, and has taken such good care of me. He oversees all my meds now and will not let me go out by myself yet. Probably a good idea. I am so lucky to have had such a wonderful man in my life for almost 28 years as a couple, over 30 asw my best friend. My daughter has had her hands full, but still came and sat with him at the hospital while they were trying to figure out exactly what was wrong with me.

So, forgive me if my posts are a little goofier than usual for awhile.

Yes, I am feeling better, but am still concerned about the tailbone. It hurts like crazy getting up and down. I have to see a neurologist on the 28th. Kitties have been extra sweet and cuddly since I got home, and my bil built me a ramp instead of steps to use. I wish we had come back into the fold years ago.
