My kitten is 10 months old,and his paw pad is rough and today I noticed that his paw pad is a bit cracked,it's not that bad,but it's cracked. I have 3 more cats, but their paw pads never cracked, their paw is soft and healthy. What to do about my kitten's pawpad? Can I put vaseline on his pads? Or what to do? Please Give some remedies.

Does he go outside? Is he limping, favoring the foot, or licking at it a lot?

The first thing to do is to take him to the vet to get a proper diagnosis. It's really not a good idea to treat something with home remedies when you don't know what you are treating. There is a fungus that can cause this condition, that needs special treatment. I don't know much about it, but your vet will.

No he does not go outside.all 4 of my cats are indoor cats. And no he is no limping, favoring a foot or licking excessively. He is all normal, but when I was cutting his nails I noticed his pawpad has gotten realy rough and has 1crack and 3,4 marks that seems like it would crack soon.

Otto gave you the best answer here. Take your cat to the vet. I would be very hesitant to put any kind of medication on it without consulting the vet. So many things are toxic to cats. You don't want to cause another problem trying to fix this one.

I've had 8 cats over the past 10 years or so, and some had cracked paws and some didn't. Some stayed inside all the time, others didn't. They would come and go and never bleed, so I've always assumed it was normal.
