My 5-6 yr old male cat, who is about 5-8 pounds overweight, has been acting weird for the past two weeks.

First, two weeks ago, he came into the room and seemed alarmed, hissing, growling, walking but slowly and grouched. He was not aggressive towards me, as I tried to calm him down, but he would not stop hissing, not at me though, he seemed like he could not control it if that makes sense.

Today, he came to lay down next to me and he was hissing again, growling, he seems like something is bothering. Then he started grooming and well, cleaning his private area.

He is currently next to me laying down but not sleeping, he moves every other minute, he seems uneasy.

What could it be????

Someone please help :(

Any type of "odd" or different behavior is a sign something is up. A vet visit is in order to rule out anything medical.

How is this little "pudge".  Did you take him to the Vet to see what might be up with him?
