Hello again!

As mentioned before, I`ve recently adopted a 7 months old Balinese cat.

She was extremely constipated when she got to me. She was having trouble both urinating and defecating in the first 24 hours, however, after giving her many liquids and gently massaging her tummy, she managed to go. Her feces looked black and extremely hard. Ever since, she defecated one more time, and is able to urinate without problems. Now, the issue is that her last stool was yesterday and since i started giving her canned cat food she stopped eating. I managed to feed her a bit today, giving her food from my hand, after she spent almost 24 hours without eating anything.

Her former owners only gave her dry food from Royal Canin and wet food from Whiskas. I also tried giving her the same brand of dry food she was used to eat and she seemed to have an appetite for it, but i do not want her to continue to only eat the dry food, because she doesn`t drink enough water and i think it`s what caused her constipation problem in the first place.

I bough her from the pharmacy a product called Laxavet (i live in Romania and that`s how it`s called here) and gave her the proper dose but it`s been 2 hours and she still hasn`t gone yet.

Any idea on how i could help her?

Cat managed to defecate a really hard stool. She still doesn`t want to eat, though. Any helpful ideas about how to increase her appetite?
