We just adopted a new kitten. I started feeding him Blue Buffalo Spa Kitten(wet and dry) on Friday. I know he needs time to adjust to the new food, but how long does that usually take? He is the stinkiest thing right now! Gas is awful and the litter box is worse! How long should I give him to get used to the food before trying something else? Thanks!

How long to get used to new food? Kitten STINKS!

Well, I'm thinking one reason he has gas is the sudden change of food. What was he eating before? It might be best to mix some of his new food in with the old food for a little while, and gradually increase the amount of new food until his little tummy gets used to it. That might help. Plus if he's got gas, he's probably pretty uncomfortable
/ But its great that you want to feed him a descent food!
