My cat Raiya has been vomiting for about 3 days. It started with larangytis. She seemed to have gotten over it and now she is vomiting up greenish yellow foam. She has no interest in food either. She is an indoor cat, so she couldn't have gotten into to anything outside. She is still walking around, using the litter box, etc. I was going to make he an appointment on Tues if the vomiting doesn't resolve or get better tomorrow.

Please get her in asap.  She is no doubt dehydrate and that is dangerous for a cat.  I would go today.

Please dont wait until Tuesday! If she is already dehydrated, and she sure sounds like it, Tuesday could be to late. Let us know what the vet said and how she,s doing, please?!

I don't want to alarm you but please take her in to your vet asap.  The cat that we inherited from an relative did this and test showed high liver enzymes.

I made her an appoint for today, but couldn't get her into the carrier. She freaks when she sees it. Bit and scratched my then hid. She's still hiding. I rescheduled for tomorrow afterrnoon. Hopefully I'll get her in the carrier next time. Any tips?

Put the carrier in a separate room, open, tonight.  Tomorrow morning pick her up, hold her securely probably using her scruff and back legs and put her in.  Top-opening carriers are easier with reluctant cats, and it might help to have the carrier stood so the opening is facing up - I'm assuming it's a front-opening carrier.

Got her to the vet a week ago...vet couldn't find any obvious reason for the vomiting. She was dehydrated and was given subcut. fluids. Then she was given "kitty gravol". The vomiting has stopped and she was back eating but once the gravol was stopped she has gone off her food again. The vomiting has stayed gone. She is better than she was, but has no appetite that I can see. I work all day but she refuses all the food I offer once I'm home. Should I go back? The vet had mentioned bloodwork and xrays as the next step of treatment. My husband insists that I'm being a worrisome mother and that she is fine.

I have had the same problem with my 2 cats for the past couple of weeks. The had 2 days of fluids amd antibiotics, xrays., several sets of blood work and one had an ultrasound. They found nothing significant and the only true possibility without doing more extensive tests is a GI infection. They are both on an appetite stimulant.,anti-nausea med and predisone. They have been on them for 2 days. There appetite is a bit better. Energy level is 100% bettter. Not sure how long they will need to take the meds but they appear to be working. The xrays seemed useless and the only indication on blood work was the ALT level of one of the cats. Good luck!!!

What are you feeding them? Have you stopped feeding it? When you can't find anything wrong, and you've got two cats with the same symptoms, there's a pretty good chance it's the food.

I feed them science diet..and it wasn't a new bag. They had been vacinated (some thing they don't normally get) a few days before they became ill- first one and then the next week the other. The internal medicine vet thought perhaps they picked op something at the clinic that did the vaccines- perhaps another cat in the building was sick and one of the techs did not wash between clients. No more vaccines for my cats!!!! An expensive lesson for my bank account AND for their little bodies.

You may be right about the vaccines causing a reaction, my Queen Eva always has trouble with the PureVax rabies shot. However, improving their diet would be a start in the right direction. :)

Cats need meat and moisture. A corn based food is just not really all that good for them, you know?

Here's a good site with a lot of nutritional information on what cats should eat.
