Hi all, I though I would take an opportunity to pick brains...

My husband is such a difficult person to buy for and every Christmas I wander around picking things up, putting them back etc etc etc.

He is a cat lover (obviously), loves gadjets and technology, is a bit of a kid at heart, very "arty" and creative. He is ex army and a serving police officer. He also loves those nasty loud shoot em, kill em, blow em up xbox / computer games. He is quite a softy (when it comes to animals) and more of a romantic then I will ever be.

I just dont want to buy him socks and smellies again this year.

Dont want to spend hundreds on one thing, would rather get him bits.

Any ideas greatfully recieved!!

We sould set up a Christmas gift idea thread

I go get my husband everyday items he needs but since he avoids the stores would not get.  Batteries/candies/coffee/boxers/etc.  It works for us.  I get him a gift bag full then I get a lil bag full of toys/novelty items he really don't need but helpful.

Does he already have a gaming system?  If so, you could fix him up a gift basket featuring a game or two he would like, some of his favorite snacks, and maybe a gift card to a restaurant that the two you could enjoy together.

I miss Wisconsin
Some thing special and edible.  Being from Wisc I do Seroogies.  Coffee, chololates, nuts. Hubby loves them. I did Omaha stakes once, They were awesome good but not worth the price.

How about a gift card for one of your favorite restaurants. That way you can both enjoy yourselves.
