My cat`s eye has a crack that can be seen through the pupil

Hi!

I have noticed a crack in my Balinese cat`s eye that looks like this:


Problem is that i only have her for two days and the check up from the vet did not notice anything wrong with it. However, when it looked at me in the dark, i noticed this.

Any idea what this could be?

No idea, I'd sent the vet the photo and ask them if you should bring her in.

Is it on the surface, or inside?

If it's on the surface, it looks like it could just be some mucous.  If it's a scratch on the surface, she needs vet attention immediately.  If it's inside, it will take an ocular specialist of some type to decide what the problem is.

@mrblanche: The crack appears to be on the inside of the eye. I will appoint her to a vet as soon as possible, to see exactly what this is about.

It might be a persistent pupillary membrane. My Bengal Coco has it. With Coco it looks like black threads across her eyeball.
