We have a shelter in our country too, where they rescue animals and don't destroy them.

Many get adopted from there.  But those who don't get adopted - they live there forever.

So, I've been there couple of times and love it.

And now they have almost finished a new cattery, which will be for senior cats!

I'm trying to help them with getting some bedding and seating places.

If anyone is interested: - you can look on their page: https://www.facebook.com/FriendAnimalFoundation

And this is their new cattery almost finished.

What a wonderful place, thanks for sharing about it!  I checked them out on Facebook thinking they might be near me and have a place for Oscar - then I saw they were in Zimbabwe!  A little far for him to travel

Yes, it's a wonderful place here in Zim...

My DH just came back with all the goodies we got for the senior kitties for that new cattery!!!

All the pillows, baskets, etc. - all the comfy sleeping places for them.

I'm so chuffed!  We'll take it into them sometime next week.

Below is just some of the stuff we got for them:

And this is just what my DH bought today, there is more pillows and other soft stuff we are taking next week..

Those boxes with tops are supposed to be turned over on their sides so my own 6 kitties love that with some soft items in them..

We just had an experience of what cats might like and here is what it is.

And that straw smells so sweet and nice - cats are just drawn to that....

Those senior kitties are so lucky for good people like you and your DH to look out for them - I can picture all of those baskets full of cats taking naps!
