Why are my cats acting so weird?!

Ok so I have 3 cats. Ages: 1,2,8 ever since last night the acted really weird.. Like they dint know me. They ran away from me and weren't really eating when usually beg for food. And they are scared of each other and having weird mood swings. They aren't acting like them selfs and I'm worried about them. Please help!

What happened yesterday? Were you gone for a long period of time? Something may have frightened them while you were out of the house. Do you live with other people, or is it just you and the cats?

Hi there and welcome to TCS! Glad to see new faces. What changed in the household? It sounds like something unusual or different has happened to scare them. Sometimes my Snowshoe male will have periods like that and usually something in the house has changed or strangers being in the house have spooked him. He will hide for hours and when he comes out he's not himself for a day or 2.

When he acts like that I know something different and "scary" has happened and I try to figure out what it was. He is very noise sensitive also so loud noises can sometimes set him off.

I think if you can think back and give us more detail, others might chime in with an opinion.
