Is it ok to mix my kitty's food?

She has stopped eating many of the fancy feast flavors she ate before and I think I've figured it's anything with fish in it. So, I'm trying some other brands like Sheba, wellness, Paul new mans etc. that contain no fish.

Would it hurt to mixed some of the new kinds with the kinds she is eating now? She is eating fancy feast liver and chicken and beefed hikes. I'm afraid she won't try the new if it doesn't smell like the kind she has been eating.

The foods are all canned, pâté style.

It is absolutely okay to mix "wet" foods. Mine usually get the Nutro Max and Nutro Natural Choice brands but I mix it up with other brands to give them a variety. They seem to like the variety and different textures. My kitties are funny with food. One week all they want is pate', the next it has to be chunks in gravy :lol3: When it comes to wet food, feel free to cater to them.

If you're feeding dry, it's not good to mix it with other brands like that though. If you're feeding a dry food, it is best to transition them completely over to a different dry over the course of about 2 weeks.

Bella (3 yrs old & Thunder 7 months) are both indoor cats who loves  Purina indoor dry cat food. But sometimes I give them the wet can cat food as a treat and also treats. I even give them human can tuna and those 59 cent meat packets. They love them. I don't give them too much human food though maybe a small piece of chicken now and then.

Is human food good for a cat?
