Stray Kitten found now alittle older

My Daughter found a stray little kitten and now she is alittle older. It breaks my heart to see her at the window looking outside and smelling the outside smells. We are scared to let her outside cause what if she runs away. We are really close to her now and it would really be sad if she ran away . Does anybody know if what we can do to let her play outside. This is the first cat we have ever had so any advice would greatly be appreciated.

Such solutions are possible. It depends on how it looks with you at your place.

A netted in balcony works very nicely.  Or set a good net in a open window.

These nets must be strong, as cats can be very strong if they really want to get out. They can also use surprising small openings...

If you have lots of place outside, you can build up a "net-cottage" outside.

Another alternative is if you learn the cat to accept a harness and a leash. If so, you could walk with the cat almost like with a dog.

Im very glad you do want to have this cat as pure inside. It is safest so!
